Archived: Exhibition of an ancient funeral site in Võru County

The exhibition, organized by Tartu City Museum and the Centre of Cultural Theory, will showcase the archeological finds of an ancient funeral site, long forgotten.

During the hundred years since the Raiste burial mound was excavated, the discipline of archeology has seen the emergence of numerous theoretical schools of thought. The organizers of the exhibition will offer a selection of these, and it is up to the viewer to decide which one is the most accurate or suitable interpretation to the Raiste burial mound.

The exhibition was put together by Ülle Aguraiuja, Ingvar Derešivski, Jüri Metssalu, Liis Livin, Viire Pajuste, Marilin Rappu, Raido Roog, Margo Samorokov, Maria Smirnova, Jekaterina Štšogoleva, Janek Šafranovski, Kristi Tasuja, Ingrid Ulst, Arvi Haak and Marge Konsa. Design by Joonas Õunapuu; author of the comic book Jaana Ratas.
