32nd Tallinn International Organ Festival

The 32nd Tallinn International Organ Festival is held from July 28 to August 12, 2018.

The 32nd Tallinn International Organ Festival celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and is focused on our great classics, such as Rudolf Tobias, who passed away 100 years ago; Artur Kapp, born 140 years ago; and Peeter Süda, born 135 years ago. World-renowned names of organ music will perform in Tallinn – Erwin Wiersinga, organist of the Royal Concertgebouw, and Gerhard Weinberger, the German grandmaster of organ. Our Latvian and Lithuanian colleagues and, naturally, almost all of our active concert organists will perform to commemorate the jubilee year of the republic.

Our historic organs made by the famous German organ builders, such as Sauer, Ladegast, Voit, Walcker, etc. which, along with German organ music, UNESCO has deemed among the most valued cultural heritage in the world are the wealth of Estonia. We are happy to acknowledge that the organs and the organ music of the Old Town of Tallinn are listed as UNESCO World Heritage and are under protection.

Art director of the festival – Professor Andres Uibo.
