Night of Museums in Pärnu Museum and Koidula Museum

Once a year, the attention is on the museums. On a cosy Saturday evening in May, the museums and other memory institutions open their doors later than usual and for free to celebrate the pan-European Night of Museums.

This year's theme of the Night of Museums has been inspired by the Year of Children's and Youth Culture - "Games in the Night".

In Pärnu Museum:
18.30 ballet performance by Kersti Adamson's Ballet Studio.
Games start in the museum every full hour.
19.30 Representative of Pinwings, Aleksandr Kamenski, talks about butterflies and his hobby. The butterfly insectarium in the exhibition hall gets some new residents, still in pupa stage.
23.00 a guided night tour of Pärnu organised by Pärnu Tour Guides Association starts from the foyer of Pärnu Museum.

In Koidula Museum:
18.00 the Night of Museums is opened by young musicians with instrumental music
19.00 hide-and-seek game starts in the museum's permanent exposition. The game starts at every full hour. The game can be played individually as well as with the whole family.
The guests will also select their favourite exhibit during the evening.
